While working on his artwork, this artist had a surprising realization – the scraps and leftovers from one art-piece may actually be the best part of another
So he did something genius
Because in Dustin’s main art style, he uses thousands of tiny pieces of tape to form rectangles, which then are painted and immediately washed away, creating beautiful eroded geometry art
But Dustin couldn’t shake the feeling that he was looking at unfinished art – these tape pieces still had a huge potential
So he created entirely new series called “Soulmates”, where these used tape fragments are randomly paired together, forming hundreds of imperfect connections across canvas, and possibly revealing a very strange truth
