What If Your Church Said Your Marriage Wasn’t Valid? Would You Stay?

Married since 1999, together since 1997. I’m an atheist, my wife believes in God, and some people say that marriage can’t work. Here’s my follow-up question for anyone who says your church decides who you can and can’t marry.

If your church told you your marriage was no longer righteous, for any reason at all, would you stay or would you leave? And if you would leave then, why not now, when men you’ve never met are already telling you who you’re allowed to marry?
