How should a youth athlete be training if they want to get better at their sport and also become a better athlete?
This is a full training session w/ a 12 year old golf, volleyball, and track athlete that I’ve been coaching online for 15 months. This is our 5th in-person training session together. She trains 3x per week following the program I write for her.
Every training session incorporates plyometrics, speed development work, power development, and strength training that is appropriate for her current capabilities. That’s the general structure I follow with all of the youth athletes I coach, both in-person (Dallas, TX area) and online all over the world.
Pay attention to the coaching points on some of the movements, as the small details are a big focal point in my eyes when trying to make long-term progress.
